Arsenic Removal Systems

Water Treatment Systems

Arsenic In Drinking Water

  • Arsenic is a metal-like substance found in small amounts in nature. Elevated levels of arsenic can be found in groundwater in some areas around in the US especially where there’s Arsenic Related Industrial Activity (Mining, wood preservatives, glass…).

  • There are two varieties (species) of arsenic in water: Arsenite (Arsenic III) and Arsenate (Arsenic V).

  • Arsenic has no smell or taste, so you cannot tell if it is in your drinking water.

  • Drinking water containing high levels of arsenic may cause health problems.

  • In January 2001, the USEPA has established a drinking water standard of 10 parts per billion for arsenic in public water supplies.

Treatment Systems

EMCO offers a variety of arsenic treatment technologies for the removal of arsenic compounds from drinking water allowing it to meet EPA MCLs.

EMCO offers 2 main types of technologies: Membrane-based technology (via Reverse Osmosis) and Media-based technologies. See below for additional details:

Note

A low-profile system is available to meet strict height restrictions, especially for wells in residential areas or for equipment to be installed inside existing buildings with limited height access.
