Matheson Gas Company
Capacity: 100.00 gpm
Location: Massachusetts – USA
Type: Demineralized Water System
Application: 18.00 MegOhm Semi-Conductor Grade High Purity Water
Units Involved: EMCO has designed and furnished a complete ultra-pure water treatment facility. The water treatment plant is fully instrumented and controlled by a MODICON PLC.
The water treatment equipment is divided into four sub-systems: pretreatment, two- pass reverse osmosis system, dual non-regenerable mixed- bed polishers, and a final polishing step.
The pretreatment subsystem includes multi-media filtration, activated carbon adsorption, and sodium zeolite softeners.
The two-pass reverse osmosis subsystem utilizes spiral wound thin film composite membrane elements of polyamide construction.
The mixed-bed exchangers subsystem has four (4) vessels, of which two are always off-line for off-site resin regeneration.
The final polishing subsystem includes ultraviolet sterilizers and 0.2 Micron absolute membrane cartridge filters. All piping systems downstream from the RO system, including the ultra-pure water loop, are of PVDF construction.
