National High Magnetic Field Laboratory
Capacity: 500,000.00 gpd (0.50 MGD)
Location: Florida State University – Florida – USA
Type: Water Treatment
Application: Ultra-High Purity Water Treatment System
Units Involved: This system consists of a make-up water treatment system to supply ultra-high purity water for an experimental magnet cooling loop. The make-up system consists of multimedia, activated carbon, reverse osmosis, ozone injection, ultraviolet and ion exchange components, including tank storage with nitrogen blanket.
The main loop consists of a mixed bed polishing system and vacuum degasifier, along with mixed bed regeneration chemical feeds. Loop purity will be 18.00 megohms. The system will be controlled with an Allen Bradley PLC panel. The engineer of record is “United Engineers and Constructors”
